CONFERENCES

Area Leadership Conference (ALC)

These leadership conferences are for the different chapters in your Area. Here, students can meet with fellow FBLA members and network with them, as well as meet the local Area VP and other presenters who are open to helping with projects and events.

State Leadership Conference (SLC)

At the State Leadership Conference, students and their advisers are open to participating in sessions about motivation, professional development, and career planning. For many FBLA members, the SLCs are a convenient and affordable way to experience much of the education and excitement of an NLC. This is also where students compete on a state level and are able to move on into nationals.

National Leadership Conference (NLC)

At the NLC, members who have advanced competitively are invited to compete here to see who the best and brightest is, at their event. Here, FBLA members are able to participate in leadership events, share their successes, and learn about new careers for their future throuh workshops and exhibits. This four-day conference is considered the pinnacle of the FBLA experience, especially for those running for national office. FBLA has forged partnerships with industry leaders to underwrite competitive events and scholarships for students achieving national ranking.

Institute for Leaders (IFL)

Held in conjunction with the National Leadership Conference, this high-energy, intensive, two-day seminar is a focused-leadership experience for state and local chapter officers, as well as members and advisers. This training conference prepares student leaders and members to assume their elected responsibilities and develop valuable life skills.
